Kentucky Lake Fishing Report |

It has been a decent week on the lake bass fishing. Had my trolling motor go out the first of the week, which put me behind for a day. But the fishing has been good even with all the water. The first of the week the water color was pretty good in the main river but by the end it was chocolate milk and full of debris making the lake fish small. What I mean by this is that the bays are clear and all the fishermen want to fish this clean water. This puts a lot of pressure on the fish even with a lake of this size. With water up this high these fish go as far back as they can, which makes for some tough fishing, you just can't get to them. The pattern for the week was pretty simple we caught a lot of fish flipping jigs around the biggest Willow trees we could find. We also caught a lot of fish on under water humps in the mouths of some of the bigger bays on Crank baits in about 12 to 14 feet of water. The river should clear up this week making for some new water that I really want to fish. Check out my Blog for past fishing Keith Brown |
