RED DOOR COTTAGES

are located in a quaint lakeside village on the shores of Lake Barkley.  It is not lake front, but its only about a two minute walk away. It is a short stroll to Kuttawa Harbor Marina, home of the famous "Rudy burger", and to a beach, playground, cliffs overlooking the lake, and a historic cemetery.

Venture River Water Park is 2 miles away in Eddyville, KY.  Patti's 1880's Settlement is a "not to be missed" shopping, dining, and sightseeing experience.  Their 2" pork chops are so good I'm surprised they are not illegal.  For fishermen, the Red Man Bass Tournament is held right here in Kuttawa.  The canal that joins Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley is a short boat ride away.  Land Between the Lakes, a 170,000 acre wilderness area is right across the lake or about 10 miles by land.  There you can enjoy hunting, fishing, picnics, beaches and wildlife observation.

Paducah, KY., with it's historic downtown district, is filled with antique shops, restaurants, and specialty shops, many of which stay open late on summer Saturday night's "After Dinner Downtown" program.  There are local bands playing on almost every street corner, live music in the gazebo, and carriage rides. Paducah is about 30 minutes from Kuttawa.

The cottage has 2 bedrooms and 1 bath. It also has a fully equipped kitchen, complete with coffee pot and microwave.  All linens, dishes, and pots and pans are furnished.  The house has H/AC. There is a gas grill, an umbrella table and a small pond and waterfall, and a chimnea for cool nights, tucked between the flowers in the small brick courtyard.

The house has a queen size bed, a full sized bed, and has twin beds in one end of the living room. Rates are $90.00 per night or $590.00 per week, with a two night minimum,  for up to 4 adults.  Children are free.  Additional adults are $10.00 each per night, with a max of 6 people. 

Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of one half of the total.  The balance is due upon arrival.  This is a housekeeping cottage, so please bring your paper products.  There is also a $30.00 cleaning deposit which is refundable if the house is left in the same condition as found.
