KentuckyLake.com was the first to advertise and promote the lakes region as one! Neither business nor organization, had ever advertised all of Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley in both Kentucky and Tennessee, as one destination. The boundaries of counties and states had prohibited this in the past. We decided to unify the region and combine it with the Paducah area that provides such cultural and unique attractions and history. With this unity comes the power of combined advertising. We have created a web of businesses in this region that is absolutely huge. By combining our efforts, we can better promote, “America’s Best Kept Secret”.

Mark and Kathy’s leadership roles in the tourism industry for the past 26 years on both Kentucky Lake and Lake Barkley have provided us a wealth of tourism information and statistics. We have promoted the lakes region through participating in many tourism organizations, offices held, and actually operating local business. We have extensive experience in advertising, tourism and promotions not to mention our involvement with the Internet for the past 8 years! Web design and hosting requires experience to be successful. Our computer and internet experience is apparent in the web design awards we have received from CIO Magazine recognizing KentuckyLake.com as a recipient of the third annual CIO Web Business 50/50 Award, to the Marina Dock Age magazine February/March 2001 issue rating Green Turtle Bay’s web site as the best after reviewing marina web sites from all over America. And yes, Green Turtle Bay’s site is our creation!
